May 2007 - What’s Your Money Blueprint?
Your financial success depends on your personal money blueprint. Everyone has a money blueprint and it has to do with how you think about money. Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have a pattern of struggle around money, yet others do not? You, along with everyone else, have been programmed since early childhood for the level of success you achieve, and most of it is unconscious. We are all programmed by how our parents talked about money, by our siblings, friends, authority figures, teachers, religious leaders, media, and our culture, just to name a few.
The big problem is, though most of us are completely unaware of our programming, 90% of our actions are based on unconscious programming. Think about every time you asked for money growing up; you might have heard phrases such as: “Do you think money grows on trees?” “You have to work hard for a living.” “Who do you think I am, Rockefeller?” and many others.
It isn’t always easy to break unconscious patterns and beliefs, even if you consciously know better. Why? Because when you are not paying attention consciously, your actions revert to your unconscious patterns and beliefs. In addition, even though you may consciously and logically know better, if your conscious desires and logic are at odds with your unconscious beliefs around money, guess which part of your mind will win? The answer is your unconscious money blueprint.
What do I mean by consciously being at odds or out of alignment with what your unconscious mind believes? Let’s say you’re working on consciously creating more wealth or prosperity in your life. What if you’ve been programmed to believe any of the following:
“Money doesn’t make you happy.”
“Money is the root of all evil.”
“Wealthy people are show-offs.”
“Money isn’t spiritual.”
“Wealthy people rip others off.”
You get the idea. You could probably add dozens of similar phrases yourself. If you unconsciously believe any of these limiting beliefs about money, how could you ever create wealth? There’s a conflict. For example, if you unconsciously believe that “money is the root of all evil,” your unconscious mind is at odds with what you consciously desire.
Now granted, there are wealthy people who have ripped others off, or lived their lives unethically. Unfortunately these are the people whose actions color how many of us think about money or wealth. However, there are countless individuals who have made huge differences in other people’s lives through their generosity, giving grants and career opportunities through their willingness to follow their dream to financial independence.
Remember this wealth principle:
- Thoughts lead to feelings
- Feelings lead to actions
- Actions lead to results
The good news is, you can change your money blueprint! If you’d like to learn more, I highly suggest you read: “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind”, by T. Harv Eker.
In addition, hypnosis is one of the quickest, most effective ways to release old limiting beliefs and programming. In many cases, you can release your old money blueprint in as little as one session. Once your unconscious mind is supportive and in alignment with what you consciously desire, manifesting your goals becomes much easier.
